Bear Safety in Western North Carolinas
Golden Arrow Lodge is designed to be a luxury lodge surrounded by nature, and we believe we have accomplished just that. To properly enjoy nature, understanding it is the first step. We have provided both bear spray and walking sticks with bells attached. We encourage you to take these with you on your hikes and walks. Hearing the dingle of the bell can notify a bear of your presence and can stop an accidental encounter. A great deal of effort has gone into the study of our Western North Carolina Black Bears.
